Overview:
The Actuarial Manag is responsible for providing timely and responsive actuarial services. This is provided through understanding the market' needs and supporting with information research, product ideas, designs and pricing, and offering them structured financial solutions to meet multiple needs. Additional responsibilities include marketing, training, risk control and supervise staffs.
Responsibilities:
1. Act as of one of the key technical persons in the office responsible for all technical pricing, product design and development, structuring financial solutions, actuarial modeling and providing actuarial support to underwriting and special distributions.
2. Expert of Medical reimbursement product line.
- MR pricing basis development and maintenance
- Key quotes' guidance and review
- MR product development support
- Consultant for daily MR quotes
3. Participate in product development for the office and assist the HoP in her/his product development efforts, including client presentation.
4. Responsible for providing actuarial and technical training to the underwriting and actuarial teams and their development of professional knowledge.
5.Regular updates of industry trends and market insights and identifying opportunities in support of local health business growth.
6. Responsible for monitoring, compiling, and doing experience studies for any in force business or new product and general risk assessment.
7. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the HoP/Director from time to time.
Requirements:
1.Medical insurance experience of at least 5 years. This includes but not limited to pricing, product design, experience analysis and risk management of medical reimbursement business line.
2.Medical background/experience is better to have.
3.University graduate.
4.Associate fellowship with one of the recognized international actuarial associations (FSA, FIA, FFA, FIAA, etc.).
5.At least 5-8 years in direct or reinsurance companies, with exposure in product developments, US GAAP, Financial Reinsurance and U
6. Fluency in English and Mandarin.
