Pricing actuaries are responsible for the pricing of individual business through pricing basis derivation, modeling, risk analysis and other new business development activities.Pricing and associated data analytics. Set and periodically update pricing bases. \nContribute to new products and reinsurance structures design. \nEnsuring delivery of quotes on time adhering to the quality standards. \nDrafting proposal and treaty documentation. \nResearch and develop areas of pricing expertise as required. \nAssist with review of business and product mandates for the local business mandate. \nMaintaining complete and accurate pricing documentation. \nInteracting with clients on data issues and other issues to ensure the data used for pricing is complete and accurate. \nInvolvement in any project-type activities from time to time. \nManage timely internal reporting documentation requirements. \nUnderstanding of RGA internal standards and meeting them. \nExperience analysis and monitoring of existing business. \nIdentify, assess, and measure, monitor and manage insurance risk and report on time. \nManages professional development of team, create culture of excellence within the team and ensures it is desirable place to work. \n Education and Experience \n
• Bachelors' or Masters' degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related field. \n
• Qualified actuary of a globally recognized actuarial association. \n
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in handling various aspects of the actuarial or analytical function of an insurance/reinsurance/financial business; pricing experience is a definite plus. \n
• Strong IT skills - sound working knowledge of MS Excel, Macros, MS Word and Actuarial software; Axis experience is strongly preferred. \n
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. \n
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage teams, negotiate and influence others. \n Skills and Abilities \n \n-Strong technical skills and attention to detail \n-Ability to effectively participate and help foster, a team-based work environment. \n-Proven track record of setting and meeting individual and team goals in a project oriented, customer-focused environment. \n-Ability to work independently and as part of a team and deal with multiple stakeholders within the business. \n-Highly organized, delivery-orientated with the ability to work with multiple concurrent projects.
